(Formerly Yardworks Supply)
Veratec is the next chapter of our family-owned business established in 2003. Originally named Yardworks Supply, it became apparent as the business grew and our product lines developed that our name Yardworks no longer effectively communicated the scope of our professional and specialty product offerings. So it was time for a change!
Why the name Veratec?
Our goal was to create a name which was meaningful to us and our business.
'Vert' - From the French word for Green
'Erra' - From the Latin word 'Terra', meaning Earth
'Tec' - From the English word 'Technology'
Veratec = Green Earth Technology
Aside from our name change, we haven't changed. We remain as one of Western Canada's largest producers of soils and mulch products. We deliver from 4 different production facilities, and run a modern fleet of trucks and heavy equipment, and are still very much a locally owned and operated family business. The main reason for the phenomenal growth we’ve experienced is you, our customer. Our customers tell us what’s important to them. We listen, and move to accommodate your needs and desire for environmentally sustainable options. Focusing on the needs of our clients has helped shape who we are, and what we do, and the products and services we offer.
